Clays
Clays will be present on the shotgun trail stage and may be presented during some of the general rifle/pistol stages as well.
Please note that with shotgun, birdshot of ???6 1/2??? or smaller shot are allowed. NO SLUGS OR BUCKSHOT ALLOWED!
If shot with Shotgun, the clay must be fully disentigrated to count a hit. Clays with a pellet or two that do not fully break will not be counted as a hit. If presented on the rifle/pistol stages, holes in clays will be counted as a hit even if they do not break.
Bayonet
There will be some Bayonet targets presented during some stages. We are actively looking for maniquins as targets so if you have a source of manequins please contact us.
You don’t have to have a bayonet to engage these targets as a simulated poke to the target will suffice. Running actual bayonets is not only allowed, but encouraged as it adds a level of historic accuracy to the match.
Steel Poppers
Steel poppers will be presented in some stages during the match. copy over steel ammo disclaimer…
Steel Plates
Steel plates will be presented during some stages. NO STEEL CORE AMMO ALLOWED. If your ammo doesn’t pass the magnet test, you can’t shoot it. This is to keep steel plates in good condition. Generally they are 6″ diameter, but can be obstructed/hidden by course obstacles (Example from last year would be 2 steel plates hidden behind a barricade to represent a pillbox).
Usually the steel plates will fall upon impact, but if it doesn’t, it will still be counted as a hit as long as the RO calls it a hit, at which point you can move on to the next target.
